F.C.A. - Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an organization
that meets on Friday mornings at & a.m.. You do not have to be in athletics to be a part of this organization.
The group has guest speakers who share inspirational encouragements F.C.A. usually has several activities throughout
the year.
High on Life - A service organization dedicated to making life better
for self & others through listening, learning & educating others. This organization encouages having fun without
the use of alcohol and drugs & helping others be the best they can be. High in Life is open to 7th & 8th
students only & meetings are held once a month before & after school.
S.W.A.P. - Students with a purpose is a student community service club
dedicated to making students aware of the needs of the community around them, providing opportunities to serve in the community
& celebrating the efforts of its members. S.W.A.P. is open to students grades 6-8. Students must apply for
membership. New members must sign & agree to abide by a strict code of conduct. SWAP members are expected
to lead not only in the community but also in the classroom & school. Members of SWAP have the opportunity to participate
in periodic group service projects, including food drives, school beautification, visiting homeless shelters & painting
the homes of needy Fort Worth residents. Members also choose their own projects to complete & keep records of the
hours they serve. At the end of the year, students will be recognized for their efforts, both individually & through
the organization.
National Junior Honor Society - Membership in the SMS chapter
of the National Honor Society is an honor bestowed upon individual students by the faculty and administration. Selection
is based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, character and service. NJHS is for 7th & 8th grade students.
